  • $5 from the sale of each bag goes directly to training expenses of "Atlas" - the Autism Assistance dog in training

This is a two birds one stone kind of treat! Your dog will love these delicious 100% Australian Lamb Cubes but at the same time you'll be helping out a very special team "A Is For Atlas" on the journey to have Labradoodle Atlas, fully certified for public access as an Autism Assistance dog for his very special friend and my own daughter, 4 year old Elly.

Each bag of "Atta Boy" sold, will directly contribute $5 towards Atlas's training and insurance expenses, to ensure this little guy get the skills he needs to make Elly's life as easy as it can be!

Atlas is a 10 month old choc drop - and he's been changing Elly's life since day dot. His training started early, being sent directly from his breeder into a puppy enrichment program at a top notch facility in the Hunter. From there he moved in with Elly and her family and by 13 weeks he started weekly sessions with a private trainer. He's now got puppy school, good manners, "novice" trick dog title and 6 months of private training sessions under his belt and is becoming more and more involved in daily life, especially outside the house.

The expense of obtaining an Autism Assistance dog is huge - generally around $30,000 and the waiting list is even larger! Elly's mum knew the only way to make it happen was to take the bull (well the labradoodle) by the horns and owner train Atlas. Although this has reduced the expense, it is still a very costly exercise between training fees, public liability insurance and the upkeep of his breed, along with the regular everyday expenses of owning a dog.

You can follow their story and catch Atlas' progress, mischief and new skills on Instagram - a.is.for.atlas

Thank you from the bottom of my heart as owner of Tail & Co - but more importantly, as Elly's mum xox
